Ancient English oak (Quercus robur) tree. This ancient oak tree, called the Silton oak or Wyndham's oak,is believed to be around 1000 years old. It was already famous during King George III's reign (1760-1801),when it was immortalised in an engraving. It is still growing, despite being completely hollow at the base of its trunk.
