Located in the jungles of the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico,it was constructed inside the depression left by a sinkhole,and was completed in 1963. The dish is over 300 metres in diameter and 50 metres deep,with a collecting area of 73,000 square metres. Image data obtained on 29 June 2009.
