Entrance to a reconstructed hut,located in a ring-fort,showing early medieval (5th-12th centuries AD) building techniques in Ireland. The wall is built of stone and the interior plastered with mud. The roof consists of thatch over wooden rafters. A large piece of timber tied with rope forms a lintel over the door.The door jambs are also made of timber.
