Laser Megajoule supercomputer. These processors are part of the TERA-10 supercomputer,used to process results and simulations related to the Laser Megajoule (LMJ). TERA-10 has 50 teraflops (50,000 billion operations per second) of computing power,and consists of over 4000 Intel Montecito dual-core processors,connected by a Quadrics network. It is the most powerful supercomputer in Europe. The LMJ is an experimental nuclear fusion device being built near Bordeaux,France,and is scheduled for completion in 2012.
