RMS Olympic in New York,21 June 1911. This ocean liner was built for the White Star Line, and was a sister ship to the Titanic and Britannic (which both sunk). Her maiden voyage took place from 14-21 June 1911,from Southampton to New York. The Olympic served as a troopship during World War I. After the war it continued as a passenger ship, eventually being scrapped in 1937. The Olympic was 269 metres long and could carry 2435 passengers, making it one of the largest ocean liners of its time.
