The constellations are groupings of stars in the night sky,here represented by a mixture of contemporary and mythological figures. The most prominent constellations seen here are: Argo Navis (lower right),Horologium Pendulum (lower left),Toucan,Phoenix and Grus (centre left),Indus and Pavo (upper left),Apus Avis (upper centre) and Crux (upper right).
