Keyhole surgery. Surgeons using keyhole (laparascopic) surgery to operate on a patient. Keyhole surgery is a minimally invasive procedure that is directed using a laparascope (held by the female surgeon). A laparascope is a type of endoscope that is inserted into the patient's abdomen and sends an image of the area being operated on to a monitor. The tools (white and black handles) used for the surgery are inserted through other holes in the abdomen and the surgeon uses the monitor to guide the procedure.
