These spores have attached themselves along a thread-like hypha of Fusarium moniliforme fungus,also known as Gibberella fujikuroi. Fusarium moniliforme is a plant pathogen that can destroy crops such as rice. This peptide (cecropin-A) comes from the cecropia moth. It causes pores to form in the fungal wall,leading to leakage of cell contents,and death of the fungus
