Orchid flower (Huntleya burtii). Orange petals and sepals surround the central reproductive parts and a specialised petal called a lip (white/orange,at lower centre). The lip attracts pollinators to the flower. This orchid is found in tropical Central and South America. This specimen is from Costa Rica. It is an epiphytic orchid (one that grows in trees).
