Giant drummer cockroaches (Blaberus giganteus), including several adults with wings, warming themselves on log. With a length approaching 10 cm, the giant drummer is the world's largest cockroach. It is found in tropical areas of Central and northern South America as well as the West Indies, and prefers living in dark and damp caves. Its diet includes rotting wood, fruit, dead insects, and decaying matter.
