Thirty-meter high North Window, one of the thousands of dramatic sandstone formations in Arches National Park, Utah, that show the incredible power of erosion. The sand that makes up the formations was deposited millions of years ago when this area was covered by a vast inland sea. The sand was compressed into sandstone and was then eroded following a massive uplift. | |
