Illustration of the Austrian physicist Anton Zeilinger (born 1945). Zeilinger is best known for his pioneering experiments on quantum entanglement, where two particles appear to be linked across space and time. Changes to one of the particle affects the other one, regardless of their distance from each other. He has experimentally demonstrated quantum teleportation and multi-particle entangled states, paving the way for quantum encrypted communication. He received a share of the 2022 Nobel Prize in Physics for this work along with John F. Clauser and Alain Aspect. | |
