Early morning shot of a parasitic wasp (Braconinae sp.) resting on top of a flowering bud of a plantain. This is a small wasp at around 5mm in length. Braconinae are a large subfamily of wasps with over 2000 species described. Host species are normally Lepidoptera or Coleoptera, paralysing their host before laying eggs on the exterior.
