Sampling hole in Mount Sharp , Mars, produced by combining information from multiple images from the Mars Hand Lens Imager (MAHLI) on NASA's Curiosity rover. The images were taken from a position 5 centimetres away from the target and shows the sampling hole to be 1.6 centimetres in diameter and about 6.7 centimetres deep. The hole was drilled at an outcrop called Pahrump Hills at the base of Mount Sharp, a mountain on Mars. | |
