Salvia divinorum is a perennial herb in the mint family native to certain areas of the Sierra Mazateca region of Oaxaca, Mexico. The plant grows in large groupings to well over 3 feet in height with characteristic hollow square stems and flowers. S. divinorum is one of several hallucinogenic plants employed by the Mazatec Indians. Magnification: x20 when shortest axis printed at 25 millimetres. | |
