| Virtopsy robot scanner. Mannequin corpse being scanned by the Virtopsy robot,the Virtobot,at the Institute for Forensic Medicine,Zurich,Switzerland. A modified industrial robot is used to make comprehensive digital imagery of a body using a mounted Nikon D800 camera,and 3D scanner using blue light. A needle placement module (shown here) also allows for automated biopsy samples guided by computed tomography (CT) scans.
