MODEL RELEASED. Typhoon fighter jet test pilot Keith Hartley, chief test pilot for BAE Systems, standing in front of a Eurofighter Typhoon jet. The Eurofighter Typhoon has been developed as the most advanced fighter jet in the world. It is an aerodynamically unstable aircraft that is flown by a computerised flight control system. This allows great agility and a great degree of automation. It is designed to be adapted to different weapons configurations. The Eurofighter is a joint project between the UK,Germany,Italy, and Spain. It began in 1994. The first Eurofighter Typhoons are due to enter service in 2003.
