| The Local Group of galaxies. Artwork showing some of the members forming the Local Group,the cluster of galaxies to which the Milky Way belongs. It is a fairly small cluster with a diameter of about 3 million light years and comprising about 25 galaxies. The cluster is dominated by three spiral galaxies: the Milky Way (lower centre right),the Andromeda Galaxy (M31,top left) and M33 in the constellation of Triangulum (not shown here).
