The Sun is in Libra between 23 September and 22 October. It is an inconspicuous constellation with no bright stars,and is overshadowed somewhat by Scorpius (to its left). In ancient times,the stars of Libra used to represent the claws of the scorpion,and only became represented as a balance during Roman times.
