MODEL RELEASED. Allergy and asthma research. Woman scientist prepares human tissue on microscope slides,in an immunology laboratory. The tissue has been taken from a skin biopsy. She uses a pipette to deliver liquid to the slides before they are examined under a microscope. The examination may include a count of inflamed cells which have produced an allergic response, such as an asthma attack,to allergens like pollen or dust or fungal spores. In this way the effective- ness of allergy treatments can be tested. Photographed at the National Heart and Lung Institute,London | |
