William Snow Miller (1858-1939),US anatomist,in his laboratory looking up from a microscope. Miller was Professor of Anatomy at the University of Wisconsin,USA. He was a specialist in lung anatomy,with his major work being 'The Lung' (1937). He was also a historian of medicine,assembling a library ranging from classical anatomical works to medical biographies,and holding seminars on the history of medicine (the Wisconsin Medical History Seminar).
