ISS Columbus laboratory,exhibit model. The Columbus module is the European Space Agency's science laboratory on the International Space Station (ISS). It is 7 metres in length,and was installed in 2008. Experiment racks (International Standard Payload Racks,ISPRs) are installed on the walls of the module,and operated by the astronaut crew,who train on Earth before missions to the ISS. Examples of ISPRs include the Fluid Science Laboratory,Biolab,and European Physiology Modules.
