Reconstruction of the head of Cro-Magnon man. Cro-Magnon is the earliest European example of Homo sapiens. Cro-Magnons lived between about 40,000 and 10,000 years ago,in the Upper Paleolithic. They were anatomically similar to modern humans,although slightly more robust with a larger cranial capacity. They used flint tools,and also made paintings,sculptures and carvings.
