He is driving a chariot drawn by a team of four horses,known as a Quadriga,from a stable called ÒGetuliÓ. The name of the leading horse is given as ÒInluminatorÓ. Chariot races were extremely popular with the Romans. The racing stables from which they came could be recognised by their colours.
