Eastern gray squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis) perched on thin branch some 20 meters above the ground, nibbles quickly on oak tree branches. These squirrels are common throughout the eastern U.S and portions of southernmost Canada. This is also an invasive species in Britain where it has largely replaced the red squirrel. | |
