Cloud of mist rising above the Niagara River before it heads over the 30-metre-high American Falls in western New York, USA, as record low temperatures cause portions of the falls to freeze over. The American Falls is one of three falls collectively known as Niagara Falls. They were created during the Wisconsin glaciation about 10, 000 years ago by forces that also created the Great Lakes and the Niagara River. The Niagara River is 58 kilometres in length and connects Lake Erie to Lake Ontario, two of the Great Lakes. Filmed in February 2015. | |
