Sea snake surfacing to breathe. Banded sea krait (Laticauda colubrina) surfacing for air at Bunaken Marine Park. This sea snake is highly venomous. It inhabits shallow coral reefs in the Indo-Pacific region and feeds on crabs, cuttlefish, eels, fish, fish eggs, and squid. It can grow up to a length of 75 to 200 centimetres. Filmed at Bunaken Island, Sulawesi, Indonesia. Bunaken Island still has almost pristine coral reefs, supporting a rich diversity of marine life. | |
