| A young male Leopard tortoise (Geochelone pardalis) attempts to mount an older female tortoise. This tortoise feeds on grasses, fruits and the pads of the prickly pear. The largest specimens can reach 60 centimetres in length. It is widely distributed throughout sub-Saharan Africa, in semi-arid grassland. Filmed in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park in southern Africa. | |
