Constructing and fitting dentures. Footage from the 1960s of the moulding, construction and fitting of partial maxillary and mandibular dentures. These dentures are artificial structures replacing the molars in the upper jaw (maxilla) and the lower jaw (mandible). They are moulded to precisely fit the anatomy of the patient's palate and gums, with careful modifications made to ensure a proper fit. This clip, part of a sequence of 21, was produced by the US Naval Dental School and published in 1964. | |
