| Skin growths on the palm of a man's feet with keratoderma. Palmoplantar keratoderma (PPK) is the term used for a rare group of conditions that cause abnormal thickening of the palms of the hand and/or soles of the feet. Thickened skin on the palms or soles may appear hard and yellow, or red and flaky which can cause pain and difficulty walking. PPK can be genetic (hereditary) or acquired. Treatment with moisturisers, peeling creams and topical retinoids can help control symptoms. | |
