Black-winged stilt (Himantopus himantopus). This bird's legs are so long that when it is flying they reach beyond the end of its tail. It is found on all the continents of the world, preferring the temperate and tropical regions. These birds pick up their food from sand or water and mainly eat insects and crustaceans.
