Rainwater channel on Uluru. Uluru is a large sandstone rock formation in Kata Tjuta National Park, Northern Territory, Australia. The colour of this channel is due to algae. It is the largest monolith in the world, standing 348 metres high, 863 metres above sea level and with a circumference of 9.4 kilometres. It is sacred to the Anangu aboriginal people of the area and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. | |
