Satellite image of snow covering Austin, Texas, USA, on 15th February 2021. The snow was the result of Arctic winds extending all the way to the Gulf of Mexico. The cold air brought several inches of snow and the coldest temperatures for more than 30 years. The winter storms caused power outages and a state of emergency was declared for the whole of Texas.
