When peridotite interacts with water, its mineral content is easily altered, forming another hydrous silicate called serpentine. Polarized light, crossed polarizers and red tint lambda plate. The rock slice (thin section) is 30-micron-thick. Zeiss Axioscop 40pol. Width of view: 2.7 mm.
