The Hatchet-faced Treefrogs (Sphaenorhynchus species) are common around forest pools. They call from floating vegetation and have distinctive calls that can be heard from quite a distance. They deposit eggs on the floating vegetation these hatch into tadpoles and develop in the stagnant pools.
