The 1,000-bed hospital will care for those that have contracted the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, which causes a respiratory infection (Covid-19) that can lead to fatal pneumonia. As of early April 2020, over 1.1 million have been infected worldwide with over 62,000 deaths.
