Cinnamon Bracket (Hapalopilus nidulans), a shelf fungus also known as tender nesting polypore or purple dye polypore, in Saint Petersburg, Florida, in August. A widely distributed species that grows on dead wood of deciduous trees. The poisonous fruiting bodies cause neurotoxic symptoms if ingested, due to high concentrations of polyporic acid. | |
