Silver sulphide precipitate. Silver sulphide (Ag2S) precipitate (black) formed by adding 0.2 M solution of silver nitrate (AgNO3) drop by drop to 0.25 M solution of sodium sulphide (Na2S). The reaction is Na2S + AgNO3 -> Ag2S + NaNO3. This is an example of a double replacement reaction. | |
