Rudolf Christian Bottger (1806-1881), German inorganic chemist. Bottger worked mostly at the University of Frankfurt. His major discoveries were in the field of explosives, and include that of nitrocellulose (1846) and cuprous acetylide (1859), also known as copper (I) acetylide. | |
