Aircraft contrails and cirrus clouds over village buildings. Aircraft contrails (condensation trails) are artificial clouds formed from frozen water droplets from the exhaust of the engines of an aircraft flying at high altitude in air nearly saturated with moisture. The clouds are cirrus spissatus radiatus clouds. Photographed in the early evening in May over southern Berkshire, UK. | |
