Satellite image of Typhoon Jebi (centre) as it approaches Japan (above typhoon) on the 3rd September 2018. Jebi made landfall in western Japan on the 4th September. It was the most powerful storm to hit Japan in 25 years with winds of up to 162 kilometres per hour. The typhoon caused flooding, significant damage to infrastructure and killed at least ten people.
