Hypertension and stenosis of renal artery. Coloured 3D computed tomography (CT) angiogram of the kidneys, renal arteries and abdominal aorta of a 47-year-old man with arterial hypertension. This anterior (frontal) view shows the presence of an ostial stenosis (narrowing, arrowed) of the right renal artery, which may require surgical intervention to place a stent. Ostial means that the stenosis is near the junction of the right renal artery and the aorta. The narrowing is seen at lower centre, where the right renal artery (to left of aorta) meets the aorta.
