Spider experiment for Skylab, 1973. NASA researcher Ray Gause of the NASA feeding a housefly to a spider (named Arabella) that will be used in a student experiment on the US space station Skylab, which was in orbit from 1973 to 1979. The experiment (ED-52 Web Formation Experiment) was proposed by Judy Miles, a 17-year-old high school student from Lexington, Massachusetts, USA.
