Maple syrup production. Visitors being guided on a tour of production facilities at a maple syrup factory. Maple syrup is made from the sap of various maple trees. Most of the water is removed by reverse osmosis before the sap is directed to this wood-fired boiler, where additional water is boiled away to produce the syrup. This tour is of H and H Sugarbush facilities, and is taking place during a Michigan Maple Syrup Weekend. Photographed on 18 March 2017, in Chelsea, Michigan, USA. | |
