Kathleen May Crossley, Canadian physicist. Crossley worked in the Department of Physics at the University of Toronto, Canada, from 1919 to 1964. She started as an assistant demonstrator, and gave lectures from the mid-1930s onwards. She became an assistant professor early in the Second World War. She was one of a number of women who were encouraged to take up careers in physics in Toronto in the 1920s. However, her career was held back by the lack of opportunities for women in later years. | |
