Star HD 131399A and exoplanet, illustration. The giant planet at lower left is orbiting its host star (centre), which is part of the triple star system HD 131399. The other two stars are at upper right. The planet is known as HD 131399Ab. Located about 320 light years from Earth in the constellation of Centaurus, HD 131399Ab is about 16 million years old. It is among the youngest exoplanets discovered, and one of very few directly-imaged planets. It has a temperature of around 580 degrees Celsius and an estimated mass of four Jupiters.
