Captorhinus is an extinct genus of captorhinid reptiles that lived during the Permian period (250-300 million years ago). Its remains are known from North America, Europe, India and Africa. Captorhinus was small with slender limbs; its full length was about 30 cm, and its skull was only about 7 cm long. It bore some resemblance to a modern lizard. Captorhinus was one of the earliest and most primitive reptiles.Magnification: X 12.5 when printed 10cm high. | |
