Nigrospora oryzae (teleomorph or sexual stage is known as Khuskia oryzae) is a plant pathogen that causes disease in corn called Nigrospora Ear Rot or Cob Rot. Nigrospora Ear Rot is widely distributed but the extent of its prevalence varies greatly from year to year throughout the world. Nigrospora oryzae can also infect rice and sorghum. It is also known to infect cotton causing Nigrospora Lint Rot and also cane plants causing Foliar or Cane Rot. Magnification: x240 when shortest axis printed at 25 millimetres. | |
