SpaceX's Crew Dragon launch abort test. Parachutes slowing the descent of SpaceX's Crew Dragon spacecraft during a launch abort test flight on 6 May 2015. This spacecraft is designed to carry astronauts to and from space. This successful launch abort test flight took place from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40), Cape Canaveral, Florida, USA. It was the first test of SpaceX's revolutionary launch abort system. The first crewed missions in Crew Dragon are scheduled for 2017. SpaceX (Space Exploration Technologies) is a private US aerospace and space transport services company. It was founded in 2002 and has developed the Falcon rockets and the Dragon spacecraft.
