Smallpox is a contagious, disfiguring and deadly disease featuring rash and blisters, caused by the Variola major and Variola minor viruses. It was eradicated in 1979. Chickenpox is a common infectious disease of childhood caused by the Varicella-zoster virus. It causes headache and fever, followed by the eruption of a rash over most of the body.
